Recognized as the best wheels on the market, and used by many top teams, Haan Wheels has helped a score of riders win over 35 world championships, and countless European and national titles in both professional and amateur racing.
While Haan still makes spoked wheels for cars, classic and street motorcycles, the main business today is building complete wheels for the MX, Off Road and Supermoto markets.
After having moved several times over the years, the company is currently housed in a newly built 16,000 sq. ft. facility, where they stock over 8,000 rims and 300,000 spokes, in order to meet demand from customers in more than 30 countries.
In 1969 Arie den Haan took his first steps as a wheel builder. Working from his garage he found his passion in building spoked wheels for cars, street bikes and especially MX bikes. His bad experience with the wheels on the Maico he was racing at the time, led him to come up with a different and better way to lace wheels. That is when Haan Wheels took off.
Many high profile riders, including those on the legendary HRC Honda factory team, would visit the shop regularly to get their hands on the wheels that Arie built. In 1998 the first complete wheels using Haan hubs were developed for the Kawasaki Factory race team. At that time we also started to offer complete wheels to consumers.
Since then Haan Wheels has grown tremendously. Arie den Haan is still active in the production side of the business, but his son Rob took over the management of the company in 2002.
